A collection of 8 pieces of illustrations/drawings on paper inspired by the Chinese Nobel Prize Literature winner Mo Yan’s novel Frog. Humorously the novel discusses the ethnic and social impacts of Chinese Family Plan in its magical realism fantasy. Characters of the plots such as ‘eating coal lumps, the pregnant woman hiding in the water, the ‘potatoes babies’ etc interact with those created from the artist’s life experience, inviting the audience to have a surreal adventure.
